Cridge park rescue

Good morning all
Just a gentle reminder about tomorrow's civic election. Please visit www.cridgeparkrescue.com and read the various candidates views on retaining Cridge Park before voting. Simply click on 'Candidate Survey Responses'.
The fate of the CP Lawn Bowling Club is dependant on a new Council removing this green space from any plans to develop the Crystal Garden block into a cultural precinct. On behalf of the Cridge Park Rescue Group I'd like to thank everyone who's pitched in to help spread the word. We've made terrific progress in a very short time, including.....

Salute to a brave and modest nation

Salute to a brave and modest nation - Kevin Myers, 'The Sunday Telegraph' LONDON :

But when the hall is repaired and the dancing resumes, there is Canada, the wallflower still, while those she once helped Glamorously cavort a…

Elect Chris Smith for Oak Bay Council

Image
Hello Friends.
Just sending you a quick email regarding the upcoming Oak Bay municipal elections…
Some of us may be suffering from ‘election fatigue’ from the past few months, but the approaching municipal election on Saturday Nov. 15 is the one election that can literally make a difference in our own backyards. So I’d like to encourage you on two fronts – 1) to ensure you get out and exercise your right to vote this coming Saturday, and 2) to consider the below if you are still thinking about your options around candidates.
I’m supporting Chris Smith for councillor. Chris is a 4th generation Oak Bay resident, and he and his wife Cory are raising their young family here.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Chris for many years, and helping him in some of his campaigning. I can say without reservation Oak Bay would be lucky to have Chris on council for us. He’s knowledgeable and cares a lot about the issues in Oak Bay, is focused on finding solutions, the son of a former OB mayor, and full of…
