Most Runs Scored

Most runs scored in Test matches (five day internationals; the highest form of the game) is one of cricket's big records. Breaking it requires batting skill of the highest order and endurance. Sachin Tendulkar, still the Little Master at 35, has both.

Today, playing against Australia in Mohali, the Indian surpassed West Indian Brian Lara's 11,953 runs, and crossed the 12,000 runs mark before being dismissed. The innings was a cameo of his style: solid and forceful changing into wristy and skillful as the innings progressed.

Underpinning it all is stroke play that is both powerful and inventive, yet highly disciplined. There is something of the late Sir Donald Bradman, the game's greatest batsman, to Tendulkar in his relentless accumulation of runs.

Good morning

I thank you for your continued support of our efforts to preserve Cridge Park and the greens of the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling Club. We appear to be getting down to brass tacks now.

A variety of concerned community groups, including local sports clubs, have banded together to form the Cridge Park Rescue Group. We've taken advantage of the civic election to press home the great value of both the park and it's use to the local community. To this end we've gathered the views of each candidate and posted them on ourweb-sitewww.cridgeparkrescue.comI invite you to visit and pass on the link to your membership.
